Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced members to serve as Club Support Specialists across a range of advisory areas. These Advisors will play a critical role in assisting Clubs identified through the Priority Clubs Initiative, with the goal of building long-term sustainability, capability, and good governance practices.
This project-based opportunity offers flexible engagement based on Club needs, supported by the SLSQ Governance Team.
Advisory Areas

- Strategic & Succession Planning
- Risk Management
- Financial Management
General Responsibilities
All Advisors will:
- Work directly with identified Clubs on their area of expertise
- Help Clubs assess current capacity, identify key risks or opportunities and implement practical solutions
- Provide independent guidance aligned with SLSQ’s strategic framework
- Liaise with the SLSQ Governance Team/ Member Experience Manager for briefing, support and reporting
Appointment and Engagement
- Cost: Travel costs will be funded by Clubs through the Priority Clubs Initiative (not paid employment by SLSQ)
- Location: Remote and/or onsite Club visits
- Commitment: Variable, dependent on Club needs and scope of support
