Family Engagement (Hama-Zoori)

The Hama-Zoori (Family engagement program) helps foster a strong sense of community. Our Z-Class parents are blessed with a wealth of skills, talents, and resources. Supporting Z-Class with these skills adds to the breadth and depth of our community and improves the overall experience for our children.

Families commit to sign up for all of the following:

Snack volunteering (once per semester)
Secondary volunteer activity in the Parent Participation Category of their choice (once per semester)
Volunteering for one major event
One ongoing coordination role

Snack Volunteer

Volunteering for snacks is mandatory for all Z-Class families. Snack parent volunteers much purchase, bring, and set up all snack items to be ready by 11:15am. Snack Volunteer will help clean up snack area after school. Volunteer will be responsible for setup and cleanup.

We need a minimum of 3 sign-ups per day, so if you see a particular date with less sign-ups, we ask that you sign up for that day first before signing up for dates that have more than 3 sign-ups.

Monitor playground to ensure children do not injure themselves from 11:15am - 12:00pm. At least 1 volunteer per day, max 3 volunteers.

Classroom Setup/Cleanup

Parent volunteers are needed prior to the start of each class to help teachers with setup. Parent volunteers will arrive at 9:30 am, will check in with the lead teacher, and will help set up & clean up the classrooms after school.

Cleanliness Volunteer

Kids will be kids - and it is our duty to ensure they have a clean and hygenic place to learn. Ensure bathroom on top floor of main building is stocked with needed supplies (before class). Vaccuming of four classrooms on the top floor of the main building.

Let us come together as a community to help our Z-Class teachers keep the classrooms clean and let them spend the most time teaching our kids!
