U-Neakers: Unique Sneakers by U

I’m so excited to have you join me for this U-neak adventure!

Get ready to step into creativity with this hands-on Two-Day Workshop, running from 9am to 3pm each day.
Don’t worry... you only need basic sewing skills to create your very own pair of U-Neakers!

The workshop will be hosted by Michelle from Aussie Bag Shed.  Michelle has been working and teaching in the sewing industry for over 30 years and has been crafting with beautiful kangaroo leather for the past 4 years.

"I’m passionate about helping you achieve the best results your sewing machine can offer - no matter the project! Leather is absolutely something you CAN sew, and I’m here to show you how."

During the workshop, you’ll learn and explore a variety of techniques, including:

• Basic quilting techniques
• How to set up your sewing machine to SEW LEATHER!
• Using a Kam Press to punch holes for stitching and grommets
• Inserting shoelace grommets
• Using a sewing awl to attach the upper to the rubber soles

Your kit is included in the price and comes with everything you need to craft your U-Neakers - feel free to bring your own lining fabric. This gives you the chance to get creative and bring along your favourite fabric to add a personal touch and make your shoes truly U-neak!

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email along with a detailed requirements list to help you prepare.

You’ll also have the option to purchase additional kits on the day if you'd like to keep creating!

Notes for choosing your Leather Colours:

You can choose up to three colours for your U-Neakers: one for the main body, one for the tongue, and one for the feature splash under the eyelets.

Prefer to keep it simple? No problem!  If you’d like your sneakers all in one colour, just select the same colour in each of the dropdown menus below. After all, they’re your creation—make them truly yours!

I will bring along some scrap leather for you to embellish your sneakers too!

Choosing the Shoe Lace colour to match the colour of your sole works well, but there are NO RULES when it comes to your creativity!

Simply choose your sole colour and your usual shoe size from the conversion chart below.

Each sole comes with a standard innersole, but if you have special orthotic or custom innersoles, you’re in luck — just pop them in your preferred size instead!

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the workshop start time to receive a full refund.

If you are unable to attend due to illness or unexpected circumstances, please get in touch as soon as possible.  I'll always do my best to accommodate where I can.
