What is Old Time Saturday?
Old Time Saturday (OTS), started in 1980, is an annual community festival located at the Farmersville Downtown Square & Onion Shed and is held the first Saturday in October. The festival is an all-day event, with activities that include: a 5K fun run, parade, live music & performances, children’s activities, games, vendor and food booths, and much more. OTS is organized by the Farmersville Centennial Committee and all proceeds go to make improvements and maintain the O.E. Carlisle Civic Center, Charles J Rike Memorial Library, Farmersville Senior Citizen Center, and other city facilities, as well as local scholarships.
What is Mr. and Miss Old Time Saturday?
One of the many fundraising activities during OTS is the crowning of the prestigious Little Mr. & Miss Old Time Saturday. Kindergarten through 5th grade students (public/private school or homeschool) that reside in the Farmersville area will then be given approximately six weeks to sell $1 raffle tickets to the community. The application is only open to the first 100 applicants. There are varying prize dollar amounts & trophies that the children can win, depending on the number of raffle tickets they sell. The top boy & girl seller will be crowned Little Mr. & Miss OTS on Oct 3, 2026. The top three boy sellers and the top three girl sellers will be given the opportunity to ride in the OTS parade on Oct 3, 2026.

The deadline to register your child as a participant is August 17, 2026
Only the first 100 students registered will be eligible to participate. Eligible participants will be contacted by August 20, 2025.
Ticket sales begin August 22, 2026
FISD students will pick up their tickets at their school’s front office. Private and Homeschool students will be able to pick up tickets at Farmersville City Hall.
Additional tickets needed can be picked up at Farmersville City Hall during business hours.

Tickets will need to be brought to the O.E. Carlile Civic Center (201 Orange St. Farmersville, TX 75442) between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM
The raffle ticket prize drawing for $500 cash and Meta Rayban glasses will take place at the Old Time Saturday event on Sat, October 4th.
