  • Girls Empowerment Network hosts Volunteer Nights and In-Person Events throughout the year to bring our community together in meaningful service. These gatherings are a wonderful way to give back while building connections with fellow volunteers and advocates who share a passion for our mission.

    The timing and focus of each Volunteer Night and In-Person Event varies, and you can find specific detials for upcoming events listed below. New opportunities will be added as they become availalbe.

                Volunteer In-Office Shift: Friday, October 17, 1PM- 4PMJoin us for a purposeful daytime shift filled with connection and impact! We'll be screening Relatable Role Model Letters and Radiant G Bestie Bracelets to ensure they're ready to be shared with girls in our programs. We'll also be making posters for an upcoming community event to help create a fun and celebratory atmosphere, as well as doing some light filing. A laptop isn't needed for the screening or creative activities, but please bring your laptop and charger if you'd like to participate in the data entry tasks. Location: GEN Office, 3710 Cedar Street, Suite 101, Austin, TX 78705 *Located within AGE of Central Texas

                Creative Action's Kids Ball Family Event: Saturday, October 25, 4:30PM- 7PMYou're invited to table at Creative Action's Kids Ball Family Event! Kids Ball is annual free family event at Central Market on North Lamar. The event is expected to draw 500-700 people and will feature live music, a photo booth, giant puppets, pumpkin bowling, and lots of activities! We're looking for 2-3 volunteers to table at this incredibly impactful outreach event hosted by Creative Action! You'll be chatting with attendees about Girls Empowerment Network programs and volunteer opportunities! Location: Central Market (4001 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78756) The entire event will take place in their outdoor space including the patio, playground, extended outdoor seating, and park space.

                Volunteer Night: Tuesday, November 4, 6PM-8PMJoin us this season of giving for our Thank-a-Thon! It's an uplifting time to come together and spread heartfelt gratitude! Location: GEN Office, 3710 Cedar Street, Suite 101, Austin, TX 78705 *Located within AGE of Central Texas

                Community Connections Fair: Saturday, November 15, 11AM-1:30PM Shift You're invited to table at the City of Austin's 13th annual Community Connections Resource Fair, one of Austin's premier events for connecting Austin families with vital resources. The event provides a family-friendly, fun-filled day to thousands of families. Your attendance connects community members from our city to vital social services and city programs. You'll be chatting with attendees about GEN programs and volunteer opportunities, as well as encouraging folks to craft and create Affirmation Bookmarks on-site! Location: Eastside Early College High School (900 Thompson St. Austin, TX 78702).

                Volunteer In-Office Shift: Friday, December 12- 1PM-4PMJoin our daytime volunteer shift to support our end of the year mail campaign. Help our staff organize, process, and assemble thank-you mail for our incredible advocates, champions, and donors. We'd love your help making this special message of appreciation come together!
