Girls Empowerment Network hosts Volunteer Nights and In-Person Events throughout the year to bring our community together in meaningful service. These gatherings are a wonderful way to give back while building connections with fellow volunteers and advocates who share a passion for our mission.

The timing and focus of each Volunteer Night and In-Person Event varies, and you can find specific detials for upcoming events listed below. New opportunities will be added as they become availalbe.

Volunteer Night: Thursday, October 15 -6PM-8PM

Join us in October! 🎃 The focus of our October Volunteer Night has changed! We'll no longer be focusing on data entry. That adventure will be saved for a future Volunteer Night! But don't let that give you a fright! 👻 There are still plenty of ways to pitch in and make a difference. This month, you'll be helping us prep for exciting upcoming events like Ghouls Empowerment Network and our 30th anniversary celebration, Cheers to 30 Years!

Whether you're an event-prep enthusiast, love getting things ready behind the scenes, or simply looking for a fun way to lend a hand, there's a place for you at our October Volunteer Night! 🧡✨ Location: Girls Empowerment Network NEW Office - 7640 Guadalupe St., Suite 201, Austin, TX 78752 *(Located within AGE of Central Texas, on the second floor)

Community Events- Volunteer Tabling Opportunities

Community Tabling Event: Austin ISD Police- 2026 Trunk or Treat- Saturday, October 24- 5PM-8PM

Represent Girls Empowerment Network at Austin ISD Police Department's 2026 Trunk of Treat event, which will take place at Nelson Athletic Complex in Northeast Austin. Volunteers will staff GEN's information area to promote our mission while passing out candy, Bestie Bracelets, and Affirmation Bookmarks! The event is geared towards helping create a fun, safe, and joy filled environment for neighborhood kids and families in an area of the city that has long been underserved! The event organizer has asked that volunteers stay for the entire event, as they expect a lot of foot traffic throughout. We're therefore asking anyone who signs up to commit to volunteering for the full duration. We really appreciate your support and commitment! (Location: Nelson Athletic Complex, 7105 Berkman Dr).

Community Tabling Event: Community Connections Resource Fair- Saturday, November 14- FIRST SHIFT- 10:15AM-1:30PM

You're invited to table at Austin Energy's 14th annual Community Connections Resource Fair, one of Austin's premier events for connecting families with vita resources. The event provides a family-friendly, fun-filled day for thousands of families, while connecting community members with essential social services and city programs. You'll be chatting with attendees about Girls Empowerment Network programs and volunteer opportunities, as well as encouraging folks to craft and create Affirmation Bookmarks on-site! (Location: Ojeda Middle School (Del Valle ISD)- 4900 McKinney Falls Pkwy, Austin, TX 78744).
