Ummah Athletics Association is a nonprofit Muslim-based youth athletics organization which promotes physical activity, community, and Islamic values through sports and fitness.

Ummah Athletics Association (UAA) Volunteer Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms carefully. By submitting this application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following:

1. Volunteer Role & Responsibilities

As a volunteer with Ummah Athletics Association (UAA), I agree to:
• Serve in a capacity that supports UAA’s athletic, educational, or mentorship programs.
• Follow all instructions provided by UAA staff, coaches, and directors.
• Arrive on time for scheduled events and notify staff in advance if unable to attend.
• Treat all participants, families, and fellow volunteers with respect and professionalism.

2. Code of Conduct

I agree to uphold UAA’s code of conduct, which includes:
• Maintaining a positive, family-friendly, and Islamic environment at all events.
• Avoiding inappropriate interactions with youth participants, including private messaging or contact outside of official UAA communication channels.
• Upholding appropriate gender boundaries in accordance with UAA’s values.
• Refraining from the use of profanity, inappropriate speech, or discriminatory behavior.

3. Background & Eligibility

I confirm that:
• I am at least 18 years old, or participating with parent/guardian consent if younger.
• I have never been convicted of a crime involving harm to a child or violent conduct.
• I understand that UAA may request background checks or references prior to or during my service.
• I will immediately disclose any changes in eligibility that could affect my ability to volunteer with youth.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

I agree to keep private any personal information I learn about participants, staff, or other volunteers while serving with UAA. This includes names, contact information, health or behavioral matters, or any private conversations.

5. Assumption of Risk & Waiver

I understand that volunteering at athletic events involves physical activity and exposure to outdoor elements. I voluntarily assume any risks associated with my participation and release UAA from any liability in the event of injury or illness.

6. Termination of Volunteer Service

I understand that my volunteer role is not guaranteed and may be ended at any time by UAA for any reason, including misconduct or failure to follow guidelines.
