Fostering is a truly rewarding experience that brings joy, purpose and connection. By offering a safe and loving home, you're giving a dog or cat a second chance at life and creating space for the next one waiting to be rescued. Helping a rescue animal heal, gain confidence and learn how to trust again, is an incredible journey. Watching them grow healthier, become more settled, and eventually find their perfect forever family is a feeling that stays with you long after they’ve been adopted.

Hearing updates from adopters and seeing your foster pet thrive in their new home is a beautiful reminder of the part you played in their transformation. We encourage you to stay connected with us through Facebook. It is a great way to share your foster's profile with your friends and community groups to reach potential adopters and keep in touch once they’ve been placed.

Use the camera on your mobile to capture your foster in a variety of situations, i.e. out and about, playing, relaxing, or cuddling, as it's key in helping them find their ideal forever home. We require at least 10 clear photos showing your foster in different settings, as well as two short videos (each under 30 seconds). These will be used for their adoption profile, along with a few questions to help us write their bio.

Fostering not only saves lives, it fills your heart and lifts your spirit. You are truly giving hope, love, and a fresh start. We recommend you download and read our Foster Carer Information for some great advice and information on being a carer for Pyrenees Animal Rescue.
