      INTRODUCTION

      Tina S. Braboy JSU Book Scholarship is a merit-based book scholarship awarded to students who are Georgia residents and will be attending Jackson State University in the Spring of 2026.

      CRITERIA

      Applicant must be a Georgia resident with 15+ earned credit hours attending Jackson State University in the Spring of 2026 and enrolled in at least 12 semester hours.

      Applicant must upload an official or unofficial college transcript from Jackson State University.

      Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

      Applicant must submit a 200-250 word essay on one (1) of the following topics:

      • Why are you pursuing your chosen major at Jackson State University?
      • How do you plan to help others in your community after achieving your educational goals?

      Applicant must demonstrate community service involvement.

      After January 30, 2026, no applications will be accepted. All applications must be submitted online. Please click on the Scholarships tab on our website and choose the Tina S. Braboy JSU Book Scholarship.

      Awardees will be asked to send an Enrollment Verification form (dated after February 1, 2026) from JSU verifying enrollment in a minimum of 12 credit hours for the Spring 2026 semester. A screenshot of your class schedule will NOT be accepted.
