All-day tours to the neighbouring island of Santo Antão take place on 16 and 17 November, departing on the 07:00 ferry. The days are flexible, so book the tour and we will ensure you get on the date that most suits your arrival in Mindelo.
On landing, the panoramic drive up the old trading route leads you through impressive mountains to the historical town of Ribeira Grande, where you'll pause for a coffee break before heading into the greenest valley in Cape Verde, Paul's valley.
Enjoy a one hour hike through the valley before stopping for lunch in a sugarcane plantation. After lunch you'll visit a distillery to learn more about the national drink, grogue (and enjoy a tasting!). The views from the coast road back to the ferry are a wonderful end to the day.
The price includes ferry tickets, transport on Santo Antão, a guide, walk, coffee break and lunch, and visit to the grogue distillery.
