  • TeamWorks Across San Antonio Registration 2025


  • Artpace San Antonio invites teams to participate in Chalk It Up Across San Antonio 2024 and work collaboratively to complete original chalk murals representative of the theme Forward & Back in their own spaces across San Antonio.

    What do you need to know?

    Participation Period: August 1st- October 15, Celebration November 15 

    Registration is free and open to any school or community group serving San Antonio-area residents. Local businesses, nonprofits, and community members are encouraged to participate as community groups.

    Title 1 Schools are eligible to receive one Chalk It Up Kit with

    • (2) 24-count washable sidewalk chalk (or equivalent),
    • and (2) 24-count soft pastels (or equivalent)

    Teams will be judged on creativity, execution, and adherence to the theme Forward and Back in honor of Artpace's 30th anniversary. An optional lesson plan will be sent with your handbook following registration in order to assist you and your team in planning. 


    Team leaders are responsible for facilitating the completion and submission of their mural; Team leaders will select the mural site and workday(s) and time(s).


    Judging is virtual! Team leaders will submit up to five images of their process and finished mural with a statement describing their artwork, overall dimensions, location, and number of team members by  October 18 at 11:59 PM. Submissions open September 1.

  • Should space be available on Savings Street on November 15th, registrants will be notified by September 5th. 

    Should you be notified and accept an available space, you will be required to submit a sketch with your mural design and artists' statement in order to be eligible for judging as well as attending an additional orientation.
