Parks and Recreation Reservation Form

Town-operated parks, fields, spaces, and amenities are available for reservation by Town of Chesapeake Beach and Calvert County residents at no additional cost. While all residents may use these areas without a reservation, preference is given to those with confirmed bookings. All reservations must be made by a Town or County resident who is at least 18 years of age.

Please note that completion of a reservation request does not guarantee approval. Town staff will review and confirm approved reservations.

All Town parks remain open to the public during reservation periods, and reservations do not guarantee exclusive use of park or field areas. In addition, restroom availability and staff presence are not guaranteed during reserved times.

All guests use Town facilities at their own risk, are responsible for disposing of trash properly, and are expected to respect Town property and surrounding areas.

All Town parks are free and open to the public.  A reservation does not necessarily deny other patrons from using the parks during your designated reservation time.

I, the undersigned, hereby release, hold harmless, and indemnify the Town of Chesapeake Beach (TOCB), its employees, agents, and subcontractors from any and all liability associated with the use of Town-owned spaces.

Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks: I acknowledge that engaging in outdoor activities involves inherent hazards and risks, including serious injury and death.  I am aware and willingly assume these risks, understanding that adverse weather and conditions of the waterways can add to the inherent dangers.

Safety Measures: I understand and agree to abide by safety measures.

Liability and Consent: I acknowledge that TOCB does not assume liability for personal injuries, death, or loss/damage to personal property.

Park Closure and Return: I commit to ensuring that I am leaving the park before the closing time at dusk.

Sobriety, Personal Safety: I agree not use Town-owned spaces under the influence of alcohol or drugs. I confirm I have reviewed and understood all rules regarding public and personal safety of the parks.

Equipment Care and Responsibility: I will return all equipment to TOCB in the condition I received it, except for normal wear and tear. I understand that all equipment provided is in adequate condition for its intended purpose.
Late Return and Additional Fees: I acknowledge that all rented equipment must be returned within a reasonable period. Failure to do so may result in late fees or additional rental fees, at the discretion of TOCB.

Loss of Personal Property: I understand that TOCB is not responsible for the damage or loss of any personal property that may occur during the rental period.

By signing this waiver, I affirm that I have read and understood its contents, including the safety measures, acknowledgment of risks, liability and consent, disclaimer, park closure and return policy, sobriety and personal safety, equipment care and responsibility, late return and additional fees, loss of personal property, and watercraft-specific information. I voluntarily agree to the terms outlined herein, assuming full responsibility for my safety and the safety of any minors under my care during the rental period the Town of Chesapeake Beach.

I hereby assume all risks for any injury or loss from the use of Town-owned spaces for any purpose and hereby accept the use of this equipment AS IS.  I agree to use said Town-owned spaces in a safe and responsible manner.  I hereby agree to report any damage to this equipment either before or after said usage.
