IV. If you are in need of immediate medical care and it is during normal business hours, we suggest you visit the nearest doctor's office or urgent care center where you are confident you will be able to get good care. If you live in a rural area, do not have access to a motor vehicle, lack a valid U.S. driver's license, or for some other reason do not feel comfortable or safe in medical settings, you may wish to consider calling 911. However, be aware that ambulance service is costly and that services such as the US emergency call line, best known as 911, are often understaffed. You may experience delays as a result. Also, the people with whom you speak may not have the best or the most up-to-date medical training.
V. If you live outside the United States of America, we cannot provide any useful advice when it comes to emergency service. Also, this service is primarily intended for U.S. residents.
