  • What is Stage Antics?

    'Stage Antics', previously 'Stage & Street' is a theatre class experience where young people aged 8-17 can learn the fundamental foundations of acting for both stage & television, as well as the basics of different dance styles (Streetdance and MT Jazz). 'Stage Antics' also promises to be an inclusive environment, ensuring that every young person has a safe space to be themselves and thrive. These classes were established in 2023 by Ethan Castle, who wants to bring young people an affordable opportunity to express their passion in the arts.

    What happens in these classes?

    In these classes, Ethan delivers a focused approach on the importance of technique within acting, whilst also keeping things fun, fresh and engaging. This includes games, acting exercises, solo/paired/group work, performance technique and performance experience.

    The basic essentials of streetdance and jazz are also covered so that every young person gets to dip their toes into dance, without being overwhelmed by difficulty or expectation.

    What is True to You Studio?

    'True to You Studio' is an independent performance school that specializes in drama and dance, established by Ethan Castle in 2024. At 'True to You Studio', we firmly believe in expression, individuality, personality and identity when it comes to the arts and we're passionate about bringing out these qualities in other people who want to shine the light that they have within.

    Who is leading the classes?

    Leading the classes is Ethan Castle. Ethan is a trained Dancer, Actor and Singer who studied Professional Musical Theatre at Liverpool Theatre School from 2015-2019. Since graduating, Ethan has worked in professional productions, touring shows, short films and more. Ethan is passionate about performing and also being able to give this knowledge to the next generation.

  • Hi I'm Ruby! When I was 8 I joined a local drama group and had the opportunity to perform in many shows as an actor, singer and dancer. My first leading role was in a high school production as Peter Pan! I loved being part of musicals and singing in the choir. I’ve since gone on to study music at A Level. I’ve had some fantastic mentors over the years, including Ethan himself who taught me lots of the ins and outs of being a performer. I’m really excited to help support other young people with their passion for performing!

  • Hello! My name is Ben, I have recently been helping out and assisting at True to You Studio. I started my professional acting journey at Runshaw College as part of the Level 2 Performing Arts course. I have since moved up to the Level 3 Acting course.

    Alongside education, I work with a small business called Rothwell Arts Parties! This requires me to dress up as a variety of different superheroes and entertain young people. I also work at Jollie's barn, so I have quite a bit of experience working around young people. I also enjoyed attending Ethan's classes whilst I was studying at Runshaw. The classes are interesting, they keep you active and Ethan is very good at keeping the classes focused, whilst also teaching fun and engaging dances. I'm excited to be working alongside Ethan, giving my energy to the classes and providing my knowledge of the arts to the next generation.

  • Important Information

  • These classes are commitment-based with goals that alernate monthly. Your child's progress will be monitored closely, updates will also be given regularly to ensure that all parents are in the loop with their child's progression. We aim to achieve great results with each young person's development.  

    Membership, Payment Plan & Invoices

    For all information including the the payment plan, invoices and membership. Please contact us and we will tell you everything you need to know. 

    Cost:

    Payments will be made monthly and will vary depending on how many weeks are in the month

    ACT I (Ages 8-12): works out at £12 per week
    (£36 for a 3-week block, £48 for 4-weeks, £60 for 5-weeks etc.)

    ACT II (Ages 13-17): works out at £15 per week
    (e.g. £45 for a 3-week block, £60 for 4-weeks, £75 for 5-weeks etc.)

    All new entrees will get their first session at half price. From there, you can decide if you'd like to join our membership, with the invoice being sent out at the start of each month.
