1. What we take, and how drop-off works
We choose pieces that fit the Loom aesthetic and that we genuinely believe we can sell. Everything must be clean, in good condition, and ready for resale. We may decline a piece that isn't the right fit, and we'll tell you at intake.
Drop off up to ten pieces during shop hours, no appointment needed. For eleven or more, text us and we'll pick a window. Large furniture needs photo approval first, every angle, before it moves. A whole house is a different job, so send overview photos and we'll come to you.
Accepted pieces are priced, styled, and on the floor within 24 hours.
2. Pricing and where your pieces are sold
Loom sets the price on every consigned piece. We price for what a piece is worth rather than for how fast it moves. On pieces valued over $1,000 we may check in with you as a courtesy.
- If a piece hasn't sold after 30 days we may adjust the price, usually by around 15%, depending on the market and how it's performing.
- Prices can differ by platform depending on shipping and sales potential.
- Your pieces may be featured in the shop, on our Instagram, or listed on Etsy, eBay, Chairish, and Facebook Marketplace.
3. Your share
- 40% of the profit, paid by Venmo or mailed check
- 50% of the profit if you'd rather take store credit
Profit means the final sale price less credit card processing and any third-party marketplace fees. Marketplace fees typically run 10 to 30%.
If a piece needs a part purchased to make it sellable, such as replacement hardware, that cost also comes out before the split. We'll check with you first on anything over $25. Our own labor is free.
Payouts are processed at the end of each month and need to be requested by you. When a piece sells for $500 or more we'll reach out to let you know, so you can request your payout then rather than wait.
4. How long we keep your pieces
Your pieces are consigned for 60 days from the date of intake. If something hasn't sold by then, you have 7 days to request it back. After that window it becomes the property of Loom, and we may sell, donate, or otherwise use it at our discretion. Return delivery can be arranged for a fee based on size, weight, and distance.
On higher-priced pieces we may agree to extend the term rather than reduce the price, since the right buyer can take longer to find. We'll talk it through with you first.
You're welcome to ask for a piece back early at any time. Just reach out and we'll coordinate based on our schedule.
5. Ownership
By signing, you confirm that you are the lawful owner of everything you consign, that it is free of liens or legal restrictions, and that it does not infringe on anyone else's rights.
6. Liability
We take great care with every piece in the shop. We are not liable for loss, theft, damage, fire, natural disaster, or other events beyond our control.
