  • Important Notice: Completing the following registration form as a Sponsorship Request does NOT guarantee a spot at the 2026 Masonic All-State Marching Band Camp. All students who submit a sponsorship request for camp will be contacted as soon as a sponsorship has been submitted for them to confirm their spot at camp. If a student has not been sponsored by the sponsorship deadline, they may have the opportunity to pay their own camp fee of $450 to attend camp, if they choose to.

    Please fill out the following forms carefully and completely. These forms also require digital signatures for your potential participation in the 2026 Kansas Masonic All-State Marching Band Camp.     This information may used by the Band Director in determining instrument parts for camp. Please include any necessary information to help determine the best fit for your skill level.
  • Band Camp Rules + Facts

    1. Registration will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Emporia State University's Towers Complex. Lunch will not be provided.
    2. Vehicle Policy: Students driving themselves to camp must turn in their keys to Camp Staff at registration and will not be allowed to access their vehicle until the conclusion of camp.
    3. Check-out – Dorms: Check-out from the dorms will be Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. All personal belongings should be loaded into a parent or guardian’s vehicle, unless the student drove themselves. If a parent or guardian cannot attend check-out, please notify Camp Staff as soon as possible.
    4. Football Game: The Kansas Shrine Bowl football game will be Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University. Kickooff is at 7:00 pm with pregame festivities starting at 6:20 pm. The band will perform during both pregame and halftime.
    5. Camp Release: Students will not be released to their parents/guardians until the conclusion of the halftime performance. A parent or guardian must physically be present to check-out their student, unless the student drove themselves or is 18 years old.
    6. Student Safety: Students cannot leave campus without a staff member at any time, including at registration, social events, and during Saturday's dorm check-out. Students may not leave for another camp during the Masonic Band Camp.
    7. Substance Policy: No drugs or alcohol are allowed at camp. If found, police will be notified and the student will be immediately dismissed from camp.
    8. Bullying Policy: The Kansas Shrine Bowl enforces a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. If a student is found bullying, they will be sent home.
    9. Dorm Rules: Students will stay in Emporia State University dorms and are expected to be in their rooms by 11:15 pm nightly.
    10. Room Assignments: Rooms and roommates will be assigned randomly and room requests will not be considered. Members of the opposite sex are not allowed in the dorm rooms.
    11. Bedding & Bath: Students are responsible for bringing their own linens, including Twin XL bed sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, shower footwear, and toiletries.
    12. Band Uniform: Students will receive t-shirts at registration, which must be worn on their designated days. Black shorts, capris, or skirts are required for Saturday's performances, along with white socks and shoes.
    13. Practice: Dr. William Woodworth will oversee all musical portions of camp. Students will be under his supervision during practices, and while Shrine Bowl camp staff will oversee all other activities.
    14. Music Distribution: Music will be sent out to all students via email in May and printed music will be provided at the first practice.
    15. Instrument Policy: Students must provide their own instruments and accessories (extra valve oil, reeds, sticks, mallets, etc.). Questions regarding instruments should be directed to Dr. Woodworth at wwoodwor@emporia.edu. Silks and poles will be provided by the band staff for color guard.
    16. Thank You Cards: Each student is required to write a thank you card to their Camp sponsor, which will be provided by Camp staff.
    17. DISCLAIMER: Failure to notify the Kansas Shrine Bowl that a student is unable to attend camp will result in the student being ineligible for future camps and their sponsor being notified.
    18. DISCLAIMER: Permission is granted to use photographs, audio recordings, digital media, or press statements of participants for promotional purposes related to the Shrine Bowl of Kansas, Inc. and Shriners Children’s.
    19. DISCLAIMER: The Kansas Shrine Bowl, nor the Kansas Masonic Foundation, are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please avoid bringing expensive jewelry or large sums of money. A small amount is recommended.

In consideration of the privilege extended to me to participate in activities of the 2026 Kansas Shrine Bowl, I hereby expressly and voluntarily assume the risks of such participation and agree to hold harmless The Shrine Bowl of Kansas, Inc., its subdivisions, officers, directors, employees, agents and assigns; Shriners Children’s Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents and assigns; City of Emporia, its officers, directors, employees, agents and assigns; Emporia State University, its officers, directors, employees, agents and assigns; Kansas High School Activities Association, Inc. ["KSHSAA"], its officers, directors, employees, agents, and assigns; each member school of KSHSAA with one or more students participating in the 2026 Kansas Shrine Bowl, including the employees, agents and assigns of every such member school, from all liability, damages, fees, costs and expenses of any kind or nature arising from or in connection with any injury, illness or other claim associated, either directly or indirectly, with my participation in any and all activities of the 2026 Kansas Shrine Bowl.

  • Medical History & Health Information

    The Kansas Masonic All-State Marching Band Camp is an intensive 5-day camp that requires participants to be engaged in outdoor physical activity. There will be time spent practicing outside in the heat. While we do have certified medical personnel on staff to make sure everything is done in a safe manner and according to health and safety guidelines, each participant should consider their own level of physical condition prior to attending camp. Please take this into consideration if you experience any medical conditions that make outdoor activity in the heat a challenge.
