Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the Therapeutic Riding programs at Horses for Hope! Since 2003, we have proudly supported hundreds of families caring for loved ones with special needs. As part of our mission, we offer financial assistance to qualifying families based on their ability to pay for our services. Eligibility is determined by income and other relevant family circumstances.
For the upcoming Therapeutic Riding semester, we are excited to offer two (2) scholarships that will fully cover tuition for two youth riders to participate in the program. Scholarship recipients will only be responsible for the $50 registration and evaluation fee upon enrollment. This year's scholarship sponsor is Capital City Clauses, and we aim to support their vision of helping local children experience the magic and wonder of the holidays!
Application Process:
- To apply for financial assistance, please complete this Jotform and upload your most recent tax return when prompted.
- Application Deadline: All required documentation must be submitted by November 1, 2025 to be considered for the Spring 2026 semester.
- Once our application window closes, our scholarship committee will review the submissions and make decisions based on demonstrated financial need, the anticipated benefits of our programs, and a family’s individual situation.
- You will be notified on the week of December 1, 2025 regarding the results.
Policy Notice:
All scholarship recipients will receive a tentative scholarship offer, contingent upon completion of a riding evaluation. Riding evaluations will be scheduled after the tentative scholarship offer is made. Scholarships will only become official upon successful acceptance into the therapeutic riding program following this evaluation. If a recipient does not meet the requirements for acceptance, the scholarship will be revoked and reassigned to another applicant. All decisions are final.
Important Notes:
- Scholarship awards have no cash value outside of our therapeutic programs.
- The scholarship does not cover the $50 registration and evaluation fee.
- Awards are non-transferable and may not be reassigned, gifted, or exchanged.
- All financial information submitted will be kept strictly confidential.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- If you are a current rider at Horses for Hope, your account must be current to apply.
Scholarships may be revoked under the following conditions:
- The participant misses more than two (2) lessons during the 8-week session.
- A no-show without notice will result in immediate termination of the scholarship and ineligibility for future awards.
- The participant’s account becomes delinquent.
- The participant withdraws from the program.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve your family and look forward to reviewing your application.
Warm regards,
Horses for Hope Scholarship Committee
