Program Information – Please Read Before Registering
The Lawyer in the Library program provides free, 20-minute legal consultations with a licensed attorney to assist with general legal questions, guidance on court forms, and understanding legal procedures.
Please note the following eligibility guidelines:
This program is intended for individuals who do not currently have legal representation.
If you already have an attorney representing you in your case, you are not eligible to participate in this program.
Services are limited to general legal guidance. Attorneys will not represent you in court, file documents on your behalf, or provide ongoing legal services.
Appointments are available to Hancock County residents only and must be scheduled in advance.
