  • About Small Canvas Big Impact

    The Huntington Arts Council believes that the arts have the power to impact our lives on every scale. This year we are inviting artists to participate in Small Canvas Big Impact. This unique fundraiser supports our mission of enriching the quality of life of long islanders with programs and services that address the needs and interests of artists, cultural organizations, and the community. Join us in making a difference, one tiny canvas at a time!

    Small Canvas Big Impact will comprise 10”x 10” canvases adorned by artists throughout our community. In a culminating ticketed holiday event, attendees will have the opportunity to take these pieces home an original piece of work of their choice.

  • Participation Details

    The Small Canvas Big Impact exhibition is also a fundraiser of donated artwork created on 10" x 10" canvases supplied by the Huntington Arts Council. Each piece of artwork will be used to raise money for HAC.

    • Reserve canvas(es) and chose pick up date through this form.
    • Canvas pick up dates:
      • September 9th-12th, 2025; 10am-4pm at the Main St. Gallery.
      • September 16th-19th, 2025; 10am-4pm at the Main St. Gallery 
      • September 23th-26th, 2025; 10am-4pm at the Main St. Gallery.
      • September 30th - October 3rd, 2025; 10am-4pm at the Main St. Gallery
      • October 7th-10th, 2025; 10-4pm at the Main St. Gallery
      • October 14th-17th, 10am-4pm at the Main St. Gallery
    •  The last day to pick up a canvas is Friday, October 17th, 10am - 4pm at the Main St. Gallery
    • HAC Artist Circle Members receive the first canvas free. Additional canvas cost $10
    •  Non-members pay $10 per canvas.
    •  Maximum of 2 canvases per entrant.

    How to Participate

    • First come, first served.
    • All work must be original to the entrant and cannot exceed the 10" x 10" canvas.
    • All media welcome.
    • The artist is responsible for providing a high-resoluntion image for printing and promotional use. 
    • Online submissions are due by Nov. 7th
    • Drop submissions off at the Main Street Gallery from Oct. 21st - 24th, Oct. 28th - Oct. 31st, Nov. 4th - Nov. 7th
       
      • Eligibility
        • Artists of all skill levels are eligible to enter.
      • Ownership
        • HAC will maintain ownership of the orginal artwork. The original artwork will be sold during a live ticketed event with proceeds benefitting HAC's general programming
        • Artist retains copyright, however, HAC has license to use the piece for promotion of HAC's general programming and the exhibition. 

    Next Steps

    • Come to the artist reception at the Main Street Gallery, Dec. 5th , 2025 from 5-8pm. Free. 
    • Purchase tickets to our fundraiser reception at the Main Street Gallery, Dec 12th $35 per ticket.
