Note: If you register for a training date after the registration has closed, you may not be approved and able to attend. All trainings will be held via zoom. Attendees must attend all days of training.

Description: The Teaching Pyramid Infant-Toddler Observation Scale (TPITOS) for Infant-Toddler Classrooms is an assessment instrument designed to measure the fidelity of implementation of practices associated with the Pyramid Model in center-based infant and toddler care settings. This training will prepare coaches to use the TPITOS tool with fidelity while observing teachers. Participants are required to pass a reliability test before receiving their certificate.

Prerequisites:

Participants must have attended the Infant/Toddler EC-PBIS Module Series
Participants Must be working with or for a program that is implementing program-wide EC-PBIS (please contact your PD organization if you have questions)

Note: If you do not meet these prerequisites, you will recieve a follow-up email and may not be approved for the training or selected training dates.

Learning Objectives:

Learn about the TPITOS, a measure for examining the level of support provided by classroom teachers for infant/toddler social-emotional learning
View and score video examples of teacher behaviors that support the social-emotional development of infants and toddlers
Have the opportunity to meet certification standards for carrying out and scoring TPITOS assessments.

Each coach needs their own TPITOS manual to complete this training. Do you have your own copy of the TPITOS manual? If you select yes, we will only send the scoring booklets to be utilized during training and no manual.

Each coach will receive a copy Unpacking the Infant–Toddler Pyramid Model: A Practical Guide for Teachers and Providers. Do you have your own copy of this book? If you select yes, we will NOT send this book.
