Terms of Service
Payment Due: Payment is required upfront so that I can source your cute cutters and perfect packaging. Your payment reserves your pick-up or delivery date on my cookie calendar. I will provide a link to an invoice where you can make payment after confirmation of the total amount.
Refunds: Refunds will not be provided. If you were to cancel your order and a payment has been received you will have a credit to apply to a future order.
Contactless Pick-Up: Pickup dates and times are set upon placing your order. If your cookie pickup date needs to change to a later date, after I’ve already started on your cookies, I will provide instructions on how you can freeze your cookies to keep them safe until they are needed. If you are unable to pick-up on the agreed upon time, please let me know at least 2-days before pickup so we can coordinate or please send someone to pick up your cookies on your behalf. If you need to move up your cookie date, I might be able to accommodate that, but a rush order fee of $55 will be applied. If you miss your cookie pickup date at least two times, I will donate or resell your cookies and not provide a refund nor coordinate another pickup.
Delivery: I can deliver your cookies to you for a fee ($10-$20) ,depending on location of delivery. You can opt for contactless pickup for free! Delivery is available to Box Elder, SD 57719 & surrounding areas.
Shipping: Per South Dakota's Cottage Laws, I am unable to ship any baked goods at this time.
Price Adjustments: All prices are subject to change. Prices are often dictated by ingredient costs, complexity of your design and colors needed. This also means that I can’t honor old pricing (because the grocery store won’t honor their old egg, flour and vanilla prices - darn it!).
Inspiration: I love inspiration photos! Whether that be pictures from Pinterest, other social sites or an invitation please send my way! You can send all inspo pics to asweettalkerbakeshop@gmail.com upon placing your order or requesting a quote. Please keep in mind, I will use the photos you provide as inspiration and will never copy another cookier’s design. You can be specific in the colors you want and even the exact cookie shapes - I’m okay with that! However, You can also opt to give me creative liberty. I love this and promise I won’t let you down!
Change Cutoff: Order changes can be made until 14-days prior to your scheduled pickup date. After that, all change requests will be under consideration and a small fee will apply if I can accommodate.
Product Photography: I will take photos of your cookies to post on my social pages. I will likely post sneak peaks of your cookies in production and finished photos after you’ve received your cookies on my social pages. If you do not want your cookies photographed please let me know. I will try to accommodate your request. I will not disclose last names, event details or contract details in any of my social posts.
Cookie Care: Once your cookies are picked up or delivered to you whatever happens to your cookies is on you. Please keep them out of direct sunlight, out of the fridge, away from pets, and on a cool dry counter.
Freshness: All cookies are individually heat sealed at no additional charge and can stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. If you need your finished cookies for a later date after I’ve already started on your cookies, I can provide instructions on how to freeze them. You can freeze cookies for up to 2 months and it will not impact the taste or texture.
Taste & Flavor: I offer a variety of sugar cookie flavors like chocolate chip, strawberry lemonade, funfetti and more! My signature sugar cookie flavor is a vanilla/almond flavor. My cookies are on the softer side and not overly sweet. My frosting is a royal icing.
Packaging: All cookies are individually heat sealed at no additional charge, unless stated by you. Color ribbon and special packaging are available upon request and require a small fee.
Gifting: My custom cookies are the perfect gift for that special someone or occasion. If you wish to gift a cookie order to someone and want them delivered, just let me know at the time you place your order and I can coordinate to include a special message with your order.
Cottage Food Laws: I am a cottage baker in South Dakota. My cookies are made in a home kitchen and not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department. Per my state’s food cottage laws I am unable to ship any of my cookies at this time.
Allergens: My cookies contain the following allergens: eggs, milk, gluten and nuts (almond extract). I can offer cookies without nuts (almond extract) upon request.
Copyrighted Images: Things like Nike, Mickey Mouse and Disney princesses are protected and I won’t be able to replicate them in your cookie designs. I can make a similar color palette and designs that have a very similar feel, so still reach out so we can chat about other design options!
Order Minimums: I require an order minimum of at least a dozen (12 cookies) full-sized (3-4in.) cookies, & two dozen (24 cookies) mini (1.25"-2.5") cookies and offer in increments of half and full dozen. If you need a smaller amount, stay tuned for my pre-sales details during the holidays!
