Liability and Conduct Agreement

I, _{participantsName}_, hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms as a condition of my relationship—whether as a volunteer, foster, adopter, donor, or affiliate—with Bossy Paws Rescue Inc (“the Rescue”):

1. Good Faith Conduct

I agree that I will not, under any circumstances, knowingly or intentionally engage in any act, behavior, or communication—whether verbal, written, or otherwise—that would cause harm to Bossy Paws Rescue Inc, its animals, volunteers, board members, staff, partners, or reputation.

 

2. Public Representation

I understand that I am not authorized to speak publicly or represent the Rescue without prior written approval. I agree not to make any public statements—whether online, in media, or in person—that are defamatory, misleading, or damaging to the Rescue.

 

3. Social Media and Online Activity

I agree to refrain from posting negative or harmful content about the Rescue on any public platform, including but not limited to social media, forums, or review sites. Concerns or complaints must be addressed directly and privately with Rescue leadership.

 

4. Confidentiality

I agree not to share, disclose, reproduce, or distribute any internal documents, communications, policy manuals, procedures, operational guidelines, or any other proprietary or confidential information belonging to Bossy Paws Rescue Inc, without express written permission. This obligation continues beyond the term of my involvement with the Rescue.

 

5. Limitation of Liability

I understand that Bossy Paws Rescue Inc is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss that may occur as a result of my voluntary participation or engagement with the Rescue, its events, or its animals.

 

6. Dispute Resolution

Should a dispute arise, I agree to seek resolution directly with the Rescue in good faith before taking any external action. Mediation may be used as a method of resolving disputes, if necessary.

 

7. Acknowledgment and Understanding

I certify that I have read and understand the contents of this agreement. I understand that violation of this agreement may result in removal from volunteer duties, fostering privileges, or any relationship with the Rescue, and may include legal action if warranted.

PARENT / GUARDIAN WAIVER FOR MINORS

In the event that the participant is under the age of consent (18 years of age), then this release must be signed by a parent or guardian, as follows: I HEREBY CERTIFY that I am the parent or guardian of , named above, and do hereby give my consent without reservation to the foregoing on behalf of this individual.
