Bringing together resources and materials form various play therapist specializing in trauma work, this handbook is over 300 pages (over 600 pages of content) packed full of Trauma-Informed and Brain-Based resources and materials. There are handouts, activity pages, assessments, interventions, and scripts from Eliana Gil’s Trauma-Focused Integrated Play Therapy (TF IPT). There are also some of my favorite interventions from “Digging for Buried Treasure” and the metaphor work from “Worry Wars” both by Paris Goodyear-Brown. Other helpful resources such as Theraplay activities, body-centered techniques, mindfulness exercises, information covering trauma and the brain, and other trauma-informed coping skills are included. An incredibly useful and practical handbook to help practitioners begin implementing trauma-informed care in their own practices immediately. The APTC Scholarship Fund is picking up 60% of the total cost of printing and binding, making the cost to you very affordable.
The "Brain Box” was meticulously assembled using various developmentally informed models for helping to explain our amazing and wonderful brains to clients and their families. These portable kits have several “Brain Bags” that accompanying my favorite brain books/materials for children. These brain bags are packed full of items and symbols each with their own unique miniatures, approach, script, and target audience.
The “Connection Kit” was carefully assembled using Theraplay® guidelines and best practices for neurosequential play therapy. These portable kits have nearly double the resources of the kits sold by Theraplay® themselves. They also include a limited-edition pair of NNU pups marking the Adventure Play Therapy Center’s 10-year-anniversary.
This sensory kit was carefully assembled using the window of tolerance principles and best practices for keeping the learning brain switched on for the neurodiverse in play therapy. These portable kits have over 30 different sensory items to help a client move back into their window of tolerance, either by engaging in activating or calming activities.
