Prospective applicants must submit the following via this form by January 30, 2026:
- A letter of application addressing the candidate’s ability to meet the criteria stated above.
- A curriculum vita that highlights significant scholarly activity and qualifications.
- One recommendation letter from an editor attesting to the timeliness and quality of manuscript reviews.
- One additional letter of reference that attests to the other qualities listed in the criteria stated above. *Note that current NAGC Board Members are not eligible to write letters of reference.
- A one-page proposed annual budget to manage the GCQ editorial function. The budget should distinguish between a candidate’s institutional support (both in-kind and any direct financial support/resources, if applicable) and NAGC anticipated funding. The budget should include the number of proposed additional personnel (for example, your team might include a managing editor, multiple associate editors, a proofreader, and graduate assistants) and their roles and responsibilities. Please note that your support team may come from institutions or universities other than your own. NAGC’s per issue funding is $3,000-$6,000. NAGC also provides the GCQ editor with complimentary convention registration and a convention travel stipend during the duration of their contract, as well as convention registration support for the managing editor and associate editors.
