Join us for improv this fall!
Join instructor Jesse Cramer for IMPROV! Monday nights this fall. Jesse Cramer is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator with over 15 years experience. As a writer, his plays have been produced in New York City, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. He is wildly successful both on stage and screen! Jesse combined his passion for education and art with CIRCLES, a short film starring a cast of actors with autism. The film debuted at the MAXXI Museum in Rome, Italy, and was optioned and developed by Warner Brothers. Class Description: Improv is one of the most useful skills young actors can learn, as it enables them to adapt in real-time, listen carefully to their scene partners, and react authentically. Students will learn the basics of improv comedy, from the cornerstone principle of “Yes And” to short-form games (like those seen on WHO’S LINE IS IT ANYWAY?) and long-form scenes. This will help you practice thinking on your feet, following your instincts, and collaborating with scene partners in a judgment-free environment. All of these skills are especially helpful for auditioning! The class will culminate in a public performance for friends and family.
