  • Important Handbook Policies & Acknowledgement

Virtual Homeschool Alliance's Homeschool Academy provides a Parent & Student Handbook. However, here are some very important policies and procedures that must be followed:
  • Attendance Policy:

Virtual Homeschool Alliance's Homeschool Academy is a tuition-free program with limited spots at each level. Students are REQUIRED to be in attendance. If a student misses 3 consecutive days without prior notification, they will be withdrawn from the program. NO EXCEPTIONS. Furthermore, students are not allowed to have excessive absences for the program year (10+). If so, they will be withdrawn from the program. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Curriculum Policy:

Virtual Homeschool Alliance's Homeschool Academy will not follow a specific curriculum. No adjustments will be made to the curriculum. Instead, the program will deliver lessons as selected by the Program Director/Supervising Teacher.
  • Faith-Based Affiliation Policy:

Virtual Homeschool Alliance's Homeschool Academy is not a faith-based program. We welcome all homeschoolers here! Weekly Snapshots will inform parents of what is being learned. If you want your homeschooler excluded from a lesson, you must contact the Lesson Facilitation Specialist (LFS) and let them know. Your homeschooler will be given alternate asynchronous assignments to complete. In order for your homeschooler to receive attendance credit, these assignments must be completed. NO EXCEPTIONS. These absences will count towards the attendance policy.
  • Assignment Completion Policy:

Although Virtual Homeschool Alliance's Homeschool Academy is a homeschool program, it is imperative that your homeschoolers complete all assignments. When a homeschooler is given an independent assignment to complete after guided learning, they WILL complete it independently. It is okay if your homeschooler struggles with the concept. Independent assignments help us to determine if additional learning needs to take place for a particular skill. Again, homeschoolers must complete these assignments independently. NO EXCEPTIONS. If they don't, it skews the data. Failure to complete assignments will result in withdrawal from the program. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Lesson Facilitation Policy:

Lesson Facilitation Specialists (LFSs) are the lesson providers and homeschool managers in the classroom. The LFSs are monitored by the Program Director/Supervising Teacher. None of the LFSs have the same lesson delivery styles and are not required to deliver lessons the same. They are also not required to deliver lessons the way that the parent wants them to. At Virtual Homeschool Alliance's Homeschool Academy, homeschoolers are taught based on a simple method of lesson delivery. The lesson is given and then guided practice takes place. Lessons are delivered based on parameters set by the Program Director/Supervising Teacher.
