{fellowsName} has been selected to participate in Teach for America's Alumni Educator Fellowship (AEF) for the 25-26 school year. This year-long Fellowship supports current classroom teachers to advance equity through research-based instructional practices focused on math proficiency by 8th grade and literacy proficiency by 3rd grade.
At a Glance:
- The Fellowship runs September 2025 to May 2026
- Teach for America staff train and support Fellows in research-based instructional practices through monthly cohort sessions on weekday evenings
| Session Dates: Tuesdays → Aug 26, Sep 23, Oct 28, Nov 11, Dec 2, Jan 13, Feb 3, Mar 10, Apr 14, and Wednesday, May 13 |
- Fellows will be trained on data-driven instruction, evidence-based math and literacy strategies, and assessment protocols
- Fellows are expected to implement their learning by collecting and analyzing student achievement data, implementing new instructional strategies, and participating in monthly content & collaboration sessions
- Each Fellow receives ongoing mentorship and coaching support
- Fellows have access to additional professional development opportunities including potential certifications and courses with Relay Graduate School of Education and Harvard Graduate School of Education
- Monthly time commitment is approximately 5-7 hours total:
- 2 hours for monthly professional development session (after school)
- 1 hour for peer collaboration
- 2-3 hours for strategy implementation and data collection
