    Event Application

    Get ready! The 2025 Taste of Oceanside is happening on Saturday, October 4th, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. We're expecting around 1,400 attendees eager to experience the best of our local businesses.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business to hundreds of potential new customers and connect with our vibrant local community! Please complete the event application so we can better plan logistics and pairings based on your needs.

    Small stipends are available to help support your participation in this event.

  • Participation Categories

    We offer several exciting ways for your business to participate in the Taste of Oceanside, aiming to showcase the diverse cuisine and sips from across our city! Your participation category will depend on your business's location.

    Downtown Oceanside Businesses

    • Retail or Commercial Businesses: You have the unique opportunity to host a "Taste" or "Sip" Stop for a restaurant or beverage provider located outside the downtown area. The hosted business will be responsible for providing and serving their tasting samples at your location.
    • Restaurants: You can participate as a "Taste Stop," serving delicious food samples directly from your restaurant's location. Alternatively, you can choose to be a "Dual Taste & Sip Stop," offering both food and beverage samples (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) at your establishment.
       

    Harbor, Inland, or South Oceanside Businesses

    • Restaurants as Hosted Taste Participant: Participants from outside downtown will be paired with one of our hosted site businesses or within a "Taste Hub" which will showcase multiple taste and sip stops in a central location. Participants at a Taste Hub are responsible for providing their taste samples and a 10x10 canopy for serving. Tables can be provided upon request at no charge.
    • Beverage Provider as Hosted Sip Participant: You create special beverages (non-alcoholic or alcohlic) you want to share with our guests. Beverage sponsors will be paired with a downtown business location or "Taste Hub," within the event route. 
  • RESTAURANTS ONLY:

    County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health Requirement:

    The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health requires a Declaration of For-Profit Food Vendor Form completed and signed declaring your request for exemption from State Law requirement for Community Event Food Vendors during the Taste of Oceanside- Oceanside event on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

    Once your application is submitted MainStreet Staff will send a fillable version of the TFF form for you to complete.

  • To accomodate the volume of attendees for this event MainStreet Oceanside can provide volunteers to help make you taste/sip station run smoothly. You should plan to have at minimum 2 people at your station to serve samples, and mark off attendee placards

    Volunteers can do the following tasks:

    • Serve food samples
    • Serve alcoholic samples
    • Mark attendee placards
    • Act as security for retail spaces serving alcoholic beverages (ensure no alcholic beverages leave inside the business)
  • Taste of Oceanside – Hold Harmless Agreement.

    As a condition of participation in the Taste of Oceanside event, the undersigned business (“Participant”) agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of Oceanside, Main Street Oceanside, Inc., Main Street Foundation, Inc., Kimyon Corporation, and their respective officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in connection with the Participant’s involvement in the event, including but not limited to claims for personal injury, death, or property damage. The Participant further acknowledges and agrees to the following:

    • Participation in the event is at their own risk.
    • No guarantees of specific business outcomes, measurable success, or exclusivity are made unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Main Street Oceanside.
    • All required health permits, licenses, and insurance as mandated by federal, state, county, or local authorities are the responsibility of the Participant and must be secured and maintained for the duration of the event.
    • The Participant agrees to comply with all applicable laws, codes, and safety requirements related to food and beverage service.
    • Participants hosting alcohol beverages agree to pay the $125 licensing fees.

    By signing below, the Participant confirms they have read and understood this agreement and the accompanying application materials.

    I agree that the information is true an correct to the best of my knowledge and understand that I will be held accountable by MainStreet Oceanside to participate at the Taste of Oceanside 2025.
