Use of Facilities
The College grants the Organization permission to use the campus space identified above for the date(s) and purpose stated, subject to the College’s policies and any applicable laws.
Insurance Requirements
The Organization agrees to provide a Certificate of Insurance naming Mid Michigan College as an additional insured. Coverage must include
- General Liability: Minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence
- Workers Compensation (if applicable)
- Auto Liability (if transporting participants)
Supervision & Safety
The Organization is solely responsible for the supervision and safety of all participants, staff, and volunteers involved in its event.
Media & Photography
Mid Michigan College considers events hosted on campus by external organizations to be public events, and therefore may capture images and footage where an individual is not the sole focus of the content without the need for releases or compensation to those who may be featured.
The external organization is responsible for obtaining all necessary releases from their participants, including minors, in accordance with their own policies and applicable laws. By signing below, you acknowledge and accept this responsibility on behalf of your organization and commit to informing your event participants.
Indemnification & Waiver of Liability
The Organization agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mid Michigan College, its trustees, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, injuries, or expenses arising from the Organization’s use of College facilities.
Damage to Property
The Organization is responsible for any damage to College property caused by its participants, guests, or affiliates.
Compliance with College Policies
The Organization agrees to comply with all applicable Mid Michigan College Policies, including but not limited to Campus Closure procedures, Expressive Activity guidelines, as well as safety, conduct, and facility use.
- This Agreement is governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Michigan without regard for principles of choice of law. Any claims, demands, or actions arising under this Agreement must be brought in a court with applicable subject matter jurisdiction sitting in the state of Michigan and Participating Organization consents to jurisdiction of a Michigan court with appropriate subject matter jurisdiction.
- Authorized Representative is duly authorized to execute this agreement and waiver on behalf of the Participating Organization, and the terms and conditions of this Agreement are binding on Participating Organization, its representatives, and assigns.
Cancellation
The College reserves the right to cancel or modify the event if it poses a health, safety, or security concern or if College operations require the space.
