Job Title: Equipment & Material Transport Specialist
Location: Jackson, OH - 100% In Office
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary, Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm
Reports To: Fleet, Equipment, & Logistics Manager

The Equipment & Materials Transport Specialist plays a critical role in keeping construction projects moving forward by ensuring the right materials, tools, and equipment arrive at the right place — safely and on time. Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery
- Safely operate trucks and trailers to transport equipment, materials, and tools to and from multiple job sites daily
- Expertly maneuver vehicles and trailers in tight, high-traffic, and off-road construction environments
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet project deadlines and minimize downtime
- Secure and strap down all loads in compliance with DOT and company safety standards
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical concerns promptly
Team Support & Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and crew members to anticipate material and equipment needs before they become urgent
- Communicate proactively with the team regarding delivery status, delays, or material shortages
- Assist construction crews with loading, unloading, and staging materials at job sites
- Step in to support general tasks as needed — this role is about doing whatever it takes to keep the team on track
- Foster a positive, can-do attitude that contributes to overall crew morale and productivity
Site & Inventory Organization
- Maintain organized staging areas, storage zones, and inventory on-site and in transit
- Track outgoing and incoming materials and equipment, flagging shortages or damage immediately
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, accounted for, and ready for use
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA regulations, DOT transportation guidelines, and company safety policies at all times
- Conduct routine vehicle and trailer maintenance checks and escalate repair needs without delay
- Practice safe load handling, weight distribution, and securement on every haul — no exceptions
- Maintain a clean driving record and operate all vehicles in a responsible, professional manner
- Actively participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Immediately report any accidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction, general labor, transportation, or a related field
- Valid driver's license required; CDL (Class A or B) preferred depending on vehicle and load requirements
- Demonstrated experience safely towing, backing, and maneuvering trailers in confined or complex environments
- Solid understanding of load securement practices, weight limits, and transportation regulations
- Ability to read and follow job site plans, delivery schedules, and work orders
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly and performing demanding manual labor throughout the shift

- Typical workweek M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM (Overtime could be required as project demands fluctuate)
