  • Health & Safety Officer (Oak Ridge, TN)

  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment within our Construction Projects. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, conducting training sessions, and implementing safety protocols. The Safety Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and safety of all employees while adhering to OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation laws.
    • Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation.
    • Serve as a resource for employees regarding occupational health issues and environmental health and safety (EHS) matters.


    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in a safety-related role within government construction projects is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation law, and occupational health practices.
    • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in EHS or related fields are a plus.
    • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.
    • Ability to conduct engaging training sessions for diverse groups of employees.

    Job Summary

    The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. The PMoversees all phases of project delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, resource management, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Planning and Coordination

    • Lead project turnover and setup, including estimating review, preconstruction planning, and project kickoff meetings.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
    • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure alignment of project objectives and deliverables.

    Financial Management

    • Verify that all project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls have been entered into the Foundation Accounting Software and manage the work to those parameters.
    • Timely review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices so that any financial discounts can be exercised.
    • Track all RFC's, PCO's, executed change orders, and update the pay application and contract contemporaneously with these new commercial changes and terms.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, track project profitability throughout the life cycle and quickly escalate any adverse orunbalanced risk/reward scenarios to the V.P. of your construction group.

    Field Operations Oversight

    • Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, and field teams to ensure efficient site operations.
    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety compliance, quality control, and progress.
    • Proactively address jobsite issues, RFI responses, and design clarifications.

    Client and Stakeholder Communication

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
    • Lead project meetings, produce meetingminutes, and ensure timely communication of critical information.
    • Foster strong client relationships that drive repeat business and referrals.

    Contract and Risk Management

    • Negotiate and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
    • Ensure all contractual obligations are met, and projectdocumentation is maintained.
    • Proactively identify, evaluate, and resolve project risks and claims.

    Closeout and Project Completion

    • Oversee project punch lists, final inspections, and warranty documentation.
    • Ensure smooth project turnover to clients, including training and closeout materials.
    • Conduct project reviews and lessons-learnedevaluations to improve future performance.

     

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
    • 0-5 years of experience in construction or project coordination
    • Basic understanding of construction drawings, schedules, and contracts
    • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and cost tracking
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Willingness to work on-site in an active construction environment
    • Basic understanding of BIM modeling; able to manipulate a BIM model

  • Project Accountant (Jackson, OH)

  • Job Title: Project Accountant

    Location: Jackson, OH - 100% In Office

    Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary, Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

    Reports To: Director of Finance and Administration

    Job Summary

    The Project Team Accountant will assist with tracking project costs, issuing purchase orders and subcontracts, preparation of billings, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records for multiple ongoing projects by working with assigned PM's, APM's and Field Supervision and Leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Support

    •  Assist in setting up new projects in the Foundation Accounting system. Help monitor project budgets, commitments, and actual costs.
    • Support Project Managers in preparing monthly billings, including AIA G702/G703 applications if needed.
    • Track and log change orders and subcontractor costs.

    Accounts Payable and ReceivableProject & Team Support

    • Process subcontractor and vendor invoices and ensure they are properly coded and approved.
    • Help track payments to subcontractors and vendors, ensuring lien waivers and compliance documents are received.
    • Assist with collections by following up on outstanding receivables as needed.

    General Accounting

    • Prepare basic journal entries and assist with month-end close processes.
    • Maintain accurate and organized project financial files.
    • Assist in reconciling project costs and job cost reports monthly.

    Compliance and Reporting

    • Ensure subcontractor certificates of insurance, W-9s, and other compliance documents are up to date.
    • Issue Certified Payroll documentation for Davis-Bacon and Prevailing Wage projects through various electronic platforms.
    • Help compile data for internal and external project audits and reporting.

     

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, or 5 years relevant experience
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Systems

    Key Responsibilities

    • Answer and route incoming calls; greet visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional manner.
    • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
    • Maintain office supplies inventory and coordinate ordering as needed.
    • Ensure office equipment is functioning properly and coordinate maintenance or repairs.
