57th Annual Primary Care Review Abstract Submission

  • The planning committee for the 57th Annual Primary Care Review invites you to submit a proposal for a potential session at the week-long Primary Care Review. We have opened up the call for abstracts to faculty, fellows, residents and OHSU students plus community providers with an interest in primary care medicine. OHSU learners should have a faculty mentor or preceptor working with them on their submission.

    Details:

    57th Annual Primary Care Review
    February 9 -13, 2026 - Sentinel Hotel (downtown Portland)
This conference will be in-person only

Audience: Primary care providers – approximately 50% allopathic physicians, 50% advanced practice providers, pharmacists, naturopaths. Attendees are primarily from Oregon and Washington, though we usually see 15-20 states represented.

    General Instructions:

    • The attendees of the Primary Care Review are looking for clinical pearls that they can implement immediately upon their return to practice.
    • Each session will be 60 minutes; speakers traditionally leave 10-15 minutes for questions.
    • Presenters are encouraged to incorporate interactive components into their session:
    • Case studies are encouraged, with discussion and questions following each case; generally three cases will keep the audience engaged.
    • Perhaps review 1-2 current articles in the literature, followed by discussion and questions; attendees with busy practices are drawn to literature review sessions, appreciating having the most important articles brought to their attention.
    • Co-presenting with someone who could add a different perspective of the topic can keep the presentation interesting.
    • If you would like specific tips or coaching on incorporating adult learning practices into your talk, please email cme@ohsu.edu

Abstracts are welcome covering any clinical area.  Submissions will be evaluated and accepted based on the following criteria:

    • Clinical relevance to community primary care providers practicing in a variety of clinical settings (our audience is not OHSU providers)
    • Implications for practice
    • Quality of learning objectives
    • Anticipated format of the session

Please submit your abstract form no later than September 20, 2025.  Decisions will be communicated no later than October 20, 2025.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Leslie Doering, Educational Activities Manager at doeringl@ohsu.edu.
