Terms and Policies
Please read carefully. This agreement affects important legal rights.
Authorization: I agree to allow myself (or my child) to participate in Corpus Christi Ballet (CCB) productions. I understand that I (my child) will not be paid for participation and will be required to abide by all CCB policies. I understand that CCB is not responsible for any personal items that may be lost, left or stolen. By signing below, I indicate that I (my child) am in proper physical condition and health to participate and that I have read and agree to abide by the Handbook and other CCB policies. Media Consent: I hereby understand and agree that I (my child) may be photographed, videotaped, and/or, interviewed by CCB, television, newspaper, or other media and consent to the publication of any such media in advertising and promotional materials including, the internet (social media websites). I agree to hold CCB and all others who take media with consent of CCB, free and harmless from any liability arising from the taking or publication of the media. I understand that any photographs, videotapes, or recordings by/for the CCB shall remain the property of the CCB. I also agree not to publish on any website or otherwise any form of media any rehearsal, performance or promotional event without the prior consent of the CCB. Release from Liability: I UNDERSTAND THAT ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES OCCASIONALLY OCCUR DURING REHEARSALS, PERFORMANCES, PUBLICITY EVENTS OR ANYTIME DANCE ACTIVITIES OCCUR AND THAT SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE MAY OCCUR AS A CONSEQUENCE. KNOWING THE RISKS AND CONSEQUENCES OF MY (MY CHILD’S) PARTICIPATION, I AGREE TO ASSUME THOSE RISKS, AND HOLD HARMLESS AND RELEASE CCB, MUNRO BALLET STUDIOS, AMERICAN BANK CENTER AND ANY OF ITS REPRESENTATIVES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES FROM ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL INJURIES AND DAMAGES OF ANY KIND THAT I (MY CHILD) MAY SUFFER WHILE PARTICIPATING IN CCB ACTIVITIES. FURTHERMORE, I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND FOREVER HOLD HARMLESS CCB, MUNRO BALLET STUDIOS, AMERICAN BANK CENTER AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS, AND EMPLOYEES AGAINST LOSS FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS OR ACTIONS THAT MAY HEREAFTER BE MADE BY ME, MY CHILD OR ANYONE ON OUR BEHALF.

Sexual Harassment Policy
CCB is committed to providing a safe environment free from discrimination and to prohibit harassment of its dancers, employees, contractors, volunteers and applicants, including sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is defined as any unwelcome or unwanted sexual advance request for sexual favors or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature from someone in the workplace that creates discomfort and/or interferes with the job or participation in CCB productions. Conduct constitutes harassment when: x Submission to such conduct is made, either explicitly or implicitly, a term or condition of an individual’s employment or participation; x Submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for employment or participation decisions and/or retaliations; and/or x Such conduct has the purpose or effect of interfering with an individual’s performance or creating an intimidating hostile or offensive environment Harassment due to race, religion sex, national original, military or veteran status also will not be tolerated. Such conduct is subject to disciplinary action, including termination of dancing privileges at CCB. Anyone who believes he or she is a victim of harassment at CCB should immediately report the incident to an Artistic Director or CCB Board Member. CCB will not tolerate retaliation against any person who complains of harassment or provides information in connection with any such complaint.
Anti-Bullying Policy
Our goal at CCB is to provide each dancer with a safe environment in which to dance. We believe that all dancers, volunteers and employees should feel safe, secure and accepted regardless of color, race, gender, popularity, athletic ability, intelligence, religion and nationality. Bullying that takes place at or involves the CCB or any CCB sponsored activity will not be tolerated. Bullying can take many forms is generally defined as behavior that threatens, harasses, humiliates, embarrasses or otherwise targets another person. Examples include:Physical Bullying - kicking, hitting, hair pulling etc.Verbal Bullying - name calling, spreading rumors, and persistent teasing.Emotional Intimidation - deliberately exclude you from a group activity such as a party or outing.Racist Bullying - making racial slurs, mocking the victim's cultural customs, and making offensive gestures.Sexual Bullying - unwanted physical contact or abusive comments.Cyberbullying - using electronic means and social media (email, instant messaging, texting, Instagram, Snapchat and other social media) to bully someone.Persons found to be involved in bullying, as determined in the sole discretion of the CCB, are subject to disciplinary action including removal from the CCB and/or CCB sponsored activity. By signing this pledge, I agree to: x Value differences and treat others with respect.x Not become involved in bullying or tolerate the bullying of others.x Report honestly and immediately all incidents of bullying/cyber bullying to a CCB Board member or Artistic Director.x Support those who have been or are subjected to bullying.x Talk to teachers and parents about concerns and issues regarding bullying.x Provide a good role model for younger dancers.
I further understand and agree that I (and/or my child) are subject to disciplinary action, including removal if the CCB determines that I am involved in bullying of any type or tolerate the bullying of others. There is no right of appeal and I immediate forfeit any refund of any and all payments I may have made to the CCB.
