  • Grant Application

  • The Ventura County Neighbors Support Fund (VCNSF) provides rapid assistance to families and small business owners through trusted nonprofit and community partners. A dedicated VCCF committee—comprised of respected local leaders—ensures the transparent and thoughtful distribution of resources to address Ventura County’s most urgent humanitarian needs.

Our top priority is to support access to food, shelter, and essential services for local families, while also helping our broader community navigate the economic ripple effects of this multipronged crisis.

Please note: Funding is available only to 501(c)(3) nonprofit and educational organizations in good standing with the California Attorney General’s Office.

  • Funding Requests:

We are launching this application process in anticipation of raising funds. Awards will only be made once funding is secured and in hand (many donors make pledges that they must pay off before we can regrant those dollars). While we cannot guarantee a specific total amount at this time, we anticipate that individual grant awards will typically range from $10,000 to $100,000, depending on funds raised and community need.

To help us make the most informed and equitable decisions, we kindly ask applicants to include both:

    • Your preferred funding amount, and
    • Your minimum viable funding amount (i.e., the lowest level of funding that would still allow you to implement your project in a meaningful way).

If possible, please also include a brief scaling plan describing how your program could adjust in scope depending on the final award size.
