2026 NAIDOC CUP

The NAIDOC Cup is an initiative of Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) and Football NSW (FNSW) supported by the Play Our Way Grant, a $450,000 investment by the Program to support football at all levels. The NAIDOC Cup will see representative First Nations football teams from each Member Federation (NNSWF & FNSW) compete in matches over 3 days. The tournament also involves opportunities for players, coaches, and referees to connect with culture.

 

NNSWF will be seeking coaches to be involved in the tournament in 2026. If you are interested and wish to be notified when applications open for coaching positions in early 2026, please complete the form below. 

 

To be eligible for the for coach appointment you must:

1. Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

2. Be a registered coach within the national PlayFootball registration system to a NNSWF affiliated club

3. Hold a paid/employment Working with Children Check

 

 

Trial Dates

In 2026, NNSWF will be hosting one trial day during the July school holidays, with girls in the morning and boys after lunch. Trials will run from 9am to 3:30pm with coaches arriving at 8:30am and a coaches meeting after to select players.

Coaches are encouraged to attend both trial. Please indicate your availability below.

 

Trial Date: Tuesday 14th July 2026

Event: Tuesday 29th Sep to Thursday 1st Oct 2026. 

Thier will also be trial game before the event but no training, Dates to follow.
