These are geographic areas used to group and analyse property market data for New Zealand. All regions, territorial authorities, and suburbs are defined by REINZ (Real Estate Institute of New Zealand) and used as the basis for calculating price indices and market statistics.
- Region: The broadest level, covering New Zealand's 16 major geographic regions as defined by REINZ
- Territorial Authority (TA): District and city council boundaries, representing the 66 territorial authorities across New Zealand
- Suburb: Standard suburb boundaries. Figures are based on REINZ rolling 12-month sales data
Note: IDs are unique location identifiers. Only suburbs with sufficient sales volume (6+ annual sales) are included to ensure data reliability.
Location selection: Locations must be selected one at a time. Each report can only be generated for a single region, territorial authority, or suburb. Multiple locations cannot currently be combined into one report or aggregated into a single custom location.
