BTMO's annual retreat was started as a community retreat for Black trans men and trans masculine people to heal in the company of one another, especially those of us who cannot financially afford these kinds of trips, or those of us who find it difficult or overwhelming to arrange accommodations or travel alone. Because of this, BTMO offers this retreat at no cost to our attendees. The average cost of attendance for one member of the group amounts to about $1,500 yearly-- our retreat helps navigate a very large hurdle for many community members to engage in these experiences.
