Visioning Team
Our Visioning Team supports nonprofits by: (1) exploring project ideas with organizations interested in applying for a grant, (2) clarifying grant guidelines and the application process, and (3) helping identify possible collaborators for their project, if appropriate. Team members have in-depth grant experience, but they do not review applications before submission or give advice on pending applications. The Visioning Team works separately from the Grants Committee. To maintain objectivity, they will not share information that could impact an LOI’s evaluation by the Grants Committee and do not participate in the grant evaluation process. Once the grant application process has begun, the Visioning Team’s work is done. How Visioning works: A pair of team members meet with interested organizations for one hour. They will answer questions and offer unbiased feedback. They will not tell agencies what to do. We recommend nonprofits include a board member, grant writer, and the Executive Director in the meeting.
