This request is made with the full understanding of, and agreement to the following:
1. Campus and grade level enrollment are considered prior to acceptance. A transfer application may be denied based on insufficient space or staffing capability at the receiving campus, or for any other reason specified in Policy FDA (Local) or the East Chambers ISD District of Innovation Plan.
2. Transportation is to be provided by the student or the student’s parent/guardian.
3. The transfer, once approved, shall remain in effect for one school year, unless the District takes action to revoke the transfer as set forth in Policy FDA (Local) and the East Chambers ISD District of Innovation Plan, which provide that a transfer may be revoked at any time during the school year if the student is suspended, placed in Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), or expelled, or if the student fails to meet the legally required attendance standard of 90% attendance.
4. Transfer student must abide by the Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct. A transfer may be expelled for any offense mandating a JJAEP placement.
5. Parents and Student may be asked to participate in an interview with receiving school’s principal.
6. Any falsification of information shall cause the application to be denied and/or revoked. Knowing falsification of an application that results in a non-eligible student being enrolled shall result in civil monetary liability under Texas Education Code 25.001 (h), in addition to criminal liability under Texas Penal Code 37.10.
7. Approval of an interdistrict transfer does not guarantee UIL varsity athletic eligibility. Contact the District’s Athletic Department to discuss eligibility.
