Policies & Payment
To secure a date, a signed contract is required with a $75 deposit due at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable. Both the contract and deposit must be received before placing a hold on the requested day. Contract and deposit are due upon completion.
The total number of makeup applications does not need to be finalized at the time of booking. Brides are welcome to add or remove services as plans change.
The final number of makeup applications must be confirmed no later than six (6) months prior to the wedding date. At that time, the service count becomes final and cannot be reduced. If a member of the bridal party chooses not to receive makeup services after the final count has been confirmed, the Client (Bride) remains responsible for the agreed-upon number of makeup applications.
For Friday and Saturday weddings, a minimum of four (4) makeup applications, including the Bride, is required. The final confirmed service count cannot be reduced below this minimum. Sunday through Thursday weddings do not have a minimum service requirement.
All payment is due on the wedding date. Cash, card, or Venmo are all accepted.
Cancellation Policy
If the client needs to cancel services, notice must be given at least 60 days prior to the event date. Cancellations made less than 60 days in advance will require the bride to pay for 50% of the total that would have been due on the wedding day.
All cancellations must be submitted via email to lashesbyaliyahmn@gmail.com or by phone at (320) 980-1969. The cancellation is not valid until Artistry by Aliyah has confirmed receipt of the notice.
If the client fails to notify or cancels within 60 days of the event, the full balance will be due.
Workspace Requirements
The Client (Bride) is responsible for providing an adequate and appropriate workspace for Artistry by Aliyah to perform makeup services. The workspace must include:
A clean, stable table or other suitable surface large enough for makeup products and tools.
Access to a garbage receptacle.
Access to a sink with running water for sanitation and cleanup purposes.
Adequate space for the Artist to comfortably perform makeup applications.
The Artist will provide her own professional lighting, chair, and necessary makeup equipment and supplies.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that the required workspace is available and ready for use upon the Artist’s arrival. If services are being provided at a private residence, hotel, venue, or other getting-ready location, the Client is responsible for making sure the appropriate workspace and required amenities are accessible before services begin.
Location & Relocation Policy
The makeup location must be determined and agreed upon prior to the wedding day as part of the morning-of wedding timeline.
Once makeup services have begun at the agreed-upon location, the Artist will not relocate to another location. This includes, but is not limited to, moving from a hotel or residence to a wedding venue after makeup services have already begun.
Any planned change in location should be discussed with and approved by the Artist in advance while creating the morning-of wedding timeline. The Client understands that relocating after services have begun may not be accommodated and is responsible for ensuring that the agreed-upon location is suitable for completing all scheduled makeup services.
Travel & Parking
Travel fees apply to locations outside of the Artist’s included service area and will be calculated at a rate of up to $0.70 per mile.
Any travel fee will be discussed with and agreed upon by the Client and Artist prior to the wedding. Once agreed upon, the travel fee is due no later than the day before the wedding. The Client may pay the travel fee at any time prior to the wedding.
If the wedding or makeup location is more than two (2) hours away from the Artist’s location, the Client is required to provide and cover the cost of a hotel room for the Artist for the night before the wedding. Hotel arrangements should be discussed and confirmed with the Artist in advance.
Any parking fees, parking garage fees, parking meters, tolls, or other required parking expenses incurred by the Artist while providing services for the Client are the responsibility of the Client and will be reimbursed by the Bride.
Liability & Photo Release
All brushes, tools, and makeup products are sanitized between every application. This makeup artist (Artistry by Aliyah) cannot guarantee or be held responsible for any allergic reactions or complications resulting from the use or application of products. Any allergies and/or skin conditions should be reported by the client to the makeup & hair artist prior to application.
The Artist is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to the services provided, regardless of foreseeability or legal theory. Clients are encouraged to obtain their own insurance to cover any unexpected events or issues outside of either party’s control. By signing this agreement, the Client agrees to release and hold the Artist and Company harmless from any such claims.
Photos taken by the Artist on the day of the event may be used for promotional purposes, including on the Artist’s website and social media, unless otherwise requested in writing by the Client.
