This application is for retired adult Yorkshire Terriers only.

Retired adults are not puppies and require a patient, understanding home willing to support an adult dog through transition and aging. Availability is limited, and some retired adults may be reserved or planned for future placement well in advance.

These dogs have been a cherished part of our home and breeding program, and we are committed to ensuring they transition into safe, loving, and well-matched companion homes. Please complete this application in full so we can determine if a retired adult may be the right fit for you when placement timing allows.

🔒 All retired adults are placed as companions only. They are spayed or neutered prior to placement, are Embark DNA health tested, and are not placed with breeding or show rights. AKC registration is transferred into the new owner’s name after placement.

Emotional Transition Understanding

I understand that retired adults may take weeks or months to fully adjust and may temporarily show anxiety, withdrawal, or behavior changes during transition.

Return-to-Breeder Acknowledgment (non-negotiable)*

I understand that if I can no longer care for this dog at any point in her life, she must be returned to Essence of Grace Yorkies and may not be rehomed, sold, or surrendered elsewhere.
