Gloucester County Christian School is a ministry of Hardingville Bible Church and is based on the Word of God. We expect each faculty and staff member to affirm and support this doctrinal position.
We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Bible, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, as originally written. It is the Word of God, inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1-2), His virgin birth (Matthew 1:18-25), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (1 Peter 2:24), His bodily resurrection (Luke 24:36-43), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-11), and His personal return in power and glory (Revelation 19:11-16).
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9), whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (1 John 1:7; Ephesians 1:7).
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin (John 16:8), regenerates the believer (Titus 3:5), and indwells all who receive Jesus Christ as Savior (Romans 8:9).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-13).
