TEC THERAPIES & ALLIED HEALTH are seeking EOI from interested parties for a series of 5 x 1 hour information sessions (with question time) exploring the neuroscience of neurodiversity. These sessions are specifically designed for parents of children aged 2 to 18 to provide insight into your child’s brain and the way it works, providing an understanding of the ‘why’s’ of behaviour. The Robyn Gobbel 'Felt Safety' work will also be discussed, which provides parents a neurodivergent affirming way to teach your children the language around nervous systems and how to understand their brains and bodies and the (sometimes) lack of control they may have in responding. Using this language has revolutionised the ND Affirming movement as it provides an alternative to the 'Zones of Regulation / Traffic Light' language, which is not conducive with our way of responding to, and understanding our little people.  Four sessions will be delivered in an online forum, making it accessible to all parents by Tara Kent, Developmental Educator and Specialist Behaviour Practitioner (Neuroscience-based) and one session face to face at both Pimpama and Greenbank Clubhouse with Sarah Nelson, Parent Advocate, Senior Implementing Behaviour Practitioner (NON ABA) and Mum to 2 AUDHD teens. $60 per person per session with a commitment to the 5 sessions required. All sessions will be recorded and parents who cannot make the scheduled time of sessions will be provided access to all recordings.
