This form is used to coordinate volunteer interest in all RRFB spawning-related opportunities—both current and future—as well as to manage volunteer scheduling.

Q: Who should fill out this form?

A: Anyone interested in joining the RRFB team for any spawning-related dives or activities—even if you haven't been trained or can't attend the upcoming training—you're still welcome! There will be future spawning opportunities and training sessions.

Q: What 'training' is required to join the RRFB on spawning dives?

A: 'Training' constitutes a virtual presentation and a practical in-water netting training session. If you have not participated in spawning with us before or been trained on both modules, please select No. The RRFB team makes an effort to offer at least one training session before each spawning window.

Q: Why do I have to sign the 'RRFB Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement; Name, Likeness, Photography Release' form?

A: This serves two purposes: signing this form (1) admits you into our Active Volunteer database (allowing you to receive volunteer opportunity emails) and (2) ensures you are responsible for your own safety, whether working with us on land or underwater.

Q: How can I get updated on spawning-related notifications?

Q: What if I can't join the practical in-water netting training session?

A: If you're currently untrained and unable to attend the upcoming in-water netting training session, but are still interested in future spawning opportunities and training, please still complete the form! While full training is required before participating in spawning activities, there will be many future spawning windows and training sessions.

Q: What if I signed up for a date but my availablilty has changed? What if I have to cancel last minute?

A: We prefer you sign up only for days you can commmit to, however, we understand things happen. Please let us know ASAP in the WhatsApp group chat if anything changes with your schedule after filling out this form!

How would you rate your confidence and ability in shore diving?*

5 – I can confidently access and dive any shore-accessible site on Bonaire, regardless of entry difficulty, surge, or topography. I’m highly experienced, skilled, and comfortable making safety decisions independently.4 – I can access and dive most shore sites on Bonaire, including those with rocky or uneven ironshore, surf, or surface swims. I am self-reliant and experienced in adapting to varying conditions.3 – I’m confident with a range of shore entries, including moderate surge, uneven terrain, and mild ironshore. I can manage my gear and support a buddy in most conditions.2 – I can handle mostly easy sites and some with minor challenges, such as light surge or small rocks, but I prefer calm conditions and straightforward entries/exits.1 – I am comfortable only with easily accessible, flat entry sites (e.g., sandy beaches or smooth, shallow entries with no surge or rocks.
