Try-outs for 2026/2027 Season

Please note: There is a $10.00 evaluation fee.
Notice of Results

We appreciate that swimmers are eager for their results following the assessment. Results will be emailed within 7-14 days following the assessment. Please note that specific stroke feedback is not provided as part of the results of the assessment.
Minimum Requirements - Academy

Please confirm that your swimmer meets the following requirements prior to registering for an assessment:

- Swimmer is between the ages of 4 - 9 (as of September 1st, 2026)

- Swimmer can swim independently without the use of a floatation device and is comfortable swimming in deep water

- Swimmer is able to complete a minimum of 25 m of freestyle/front crawl unassisted

- Swimmer is able to complete a minimum of 25 m of backstroke unassisted

* Next assessment opportunities for the Academy Fall 2026 session will be in late August/ early September 2026 - Please do not register without selecting an assessment date*

Please confirm that your swimmer meets the following requirements prior to registering for an assessment:

- Swimmer is 7 years of age or older (as of September 1st, 2026)

- Follow the link HERE to review the entrance criteria for each group. Note that there is an age range listed for each of the competitive groups

* Next assessment opportunities for the Competitive Program 2026/2027 season will be in late August/ early September 2026 - Please do not register without selecting an assessment date*
Please select either the Academy or Competitive program based on the swimmer’s skill level. Coaches will still assess for suitability in both programs regardless of what you choose here - it is only indicative of general ability
ESWIM welcomes all swimmers to tryout, however the program has limited availability for each group. Attendance at this assessment does not guarantee a position in the program.

Tryout at Etobicoke Olympium - Academy
*Please note that the next session available will be in Fall 2026. Our August/September 2026 assessments will be for the Fall 2026 session.

All Assessments will take place at the Etobicoke Olympium, 590 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke, ON M9C 3T3.

Please proceed to the patio pool upon arrival and there will be ESWIM staff to check you in for your swimmer’s assessment.

Please note that this tryout fee is non-refundable. If however, your swimmer is 9 yrs or under and assessed as more suited to the Academy program, you will not need to register for another assessment. There will be coaches present who can assess into both streams of programming at ESWIM.
