Applications are due December 1, 2025 at 11:59pm ET
Who: Current nephrology fellows are invited to apply. Selected fellows will receive complimentary registration to the NKF 2026 Spring Clinical Meetings (SCM26).
What & When: The Fellows' Debate will be held during SCM26 in New Orleans, LA on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM CST. Four teams, each consisting of two fellows, will engage in a dynamic 90-minute debate competition, inspired by NephMadness debates.
Preparation: Two months before SCM26, fellows will be assigned two broad topics, each containing two subtopics. The organizers will pair selected fellows, so applications SHOULD NOT be submitted as a team. The goal is to foster collaboration among fellows from across the country.
            Example Subtopics (Not for Use):

              - Fluids: Balanced solutions vs. normal saline
- IgA Nephropathy: Steroids vs. No Steroids
At SCM26: Each fellow will present one subtopic, assigned two months prior, in a 20-minute presentation. The debate topics will align with prior NephMadness categories, focusing on clinically impactful areas within nephrology that offer rich opportunities for discussion and debate.
