“I OWN SAFETY” PLEDGE
As an employee of the Atwell Family of Companies, I pledge to prioritize safety in all aspects of my work and contribute to the cultivation of a robust safety culture. I commit to continuously improving safety performance, fostering open communication, and actively participating in initiatives that promote the well-being of myself and my colleagues. Together, we strive to create a workplace where everyone feels empowered to contribute to the development, promotion, and enhancement of health and safety. Safety is our shared responsibility, and I am dedicated to upholding and advancing a culture that prioritizes the well-being of all.
In addition, I pledge to:
- Review, understand, and use my best efforts to always comply with The Atwell Family of Companies’ safety policies, directives, and guidelines, written or spoken.
- Exercise the “Stop Work Authority” to correct unsafe actions or conditions.
- Not engage in office or undertake field activities if I am experiencing any symptoms of illness that could be infectious to others.
- Never compromise my own safety or the safety of my co-workers to get the job done.
- Actively look for hazards, promptly report them and take appropriate action to warn others.
- Always be a safety role model for my co-workers, friends, and family.
- Take proactive measures to reduce distracted driving, drive defensively, and take responsibility for my actions, whether in a company, personal, or rented vehicle.
- Complete the required safety tasks associated with my role, including completing a daily Job Hazard Analysis, where applicable.
