    Program Overview

    1. Academy of America (“AOA”) offers a comprehensive independent study program for students in grades 6 through 12, including Career and Technical Education (CTE) coursework. Courses are delivered online through a self-paced platform, enabling students to progress at their own pace or independently.

    2. Each course must be completed within three hundred sixty (360) calendar days from the official date of enrollment. Failure to complete coursework within this period may result in the course expiring without credit earned, unless a written extension request is submitted and approved in advance by AOA administration.

    3. Course Withdrawal and Refund Policy
    Students may withdraw from a course for a full tuition refund provided the following conditions are met:

    A written notice of withdrawal is submitted within fourteen (14) calendar days from the course enrollment date.
    The student has completed less than 10% of the course content at the time of withdrawal.

    All refunds will be issued using the original method of payment and processed within thirty (30) business days from the date of approval.

    No refunds will be granted after the 14-day period under any circumstance. Partial refunds, prorated tuition, or credit transfers are not offered for courses in progress or completed beyond this window.

    Notice of withdrawal must be submitted via email to: admin@academyofamerica.org.

    AOA reserves the right to modify refund policies in compliance with applicable state or federal consumer protection laws, where required.

    4. Authorization for Communication and Transcript Release
    By signing this Agreement, the Enrolling Party expressly authorizes Academy of America and its authorized designees, including third-party transcript and credentialing service providers, to:

    Request, receive, and send academic records to and from other schools, colleges, universities, and relevant educational institutions;
    Transmit such records and communications via email, digital platforms, or electronic file transfers;

    Use email correspondence for all official communication, including but not limited to progress reports, course updates, account notifications, academic records, and verification of graduation.

    This authorization shall remain valid for the duration of the student’s enrollment at AOA and until all records and post-enrollment services are completed. The Enrolling Party acknowledges that email is a legally acceptable method of communication for the purposes of this agreement, in accordance with the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) and the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act).

    5. Tutoring and Support Services Authorization
    Students enrolled in tutoring, intervention, or academic support services through AOA authorize tutoring sessions to be conducted via secure virtual platforms, including but not limited to Zoom and Google Meet.

    The Enrolling Party acknowledges and agrees that:

    Tutoring services may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.
    Participation in sessions is contingent upon adherence to AOA’s Code of Conduct.
    AOA may discontinue tutoring services if a student repeatedly misses scheduled sessions, fails to participate, or violates academic or behavioral expectations.
    The Parent/Guardian agrees to supervise or monitor sessions when appropriate and to support consistent participation and engagement.

    6. Academic Integrity
    The Student is expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic honesty and personal integrity. By enrolling, the Student affirms that:

    All coursework, assignments, assessments, and exams will be completed independently without unauthorized aid.
    The use of artificial intelligence, plagiarism, contract cheating, or any form of academic fraud is strictly prohibited.
    Any violation of this academic integrity policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to grade penalties, course failure, suspension, or permanent removal from the program without refund.
    AOA reserves the right to conduct plagiarism checks, exam monitoring, and audit reviews to ensure compliance with these policies.

    7. Parental Involvement and Communication Responsibilities
    The Parent/Guardian agrees to:

    Remain actively involved in the students’ educational experience by monitoring coursework, supporting daily routines, and encouraging academic effort;
    Facilitate open and ongoing communication between the family and AOA regarding academic progress, technical issues, or program questions;
    Promptly notify AOA of any changes to contact information, student status, or learning needs that may impact the Student’s educational success.
    Failure to maintain communication or provide accurate information may impede AOA’s ability to deliver educational services and support.
