Crafting Connections

Crafting Connections is a bi-monthly drop-in group for MGH cancer patients and survivors, centered around crafting, creativity, and connection. Whether you knit, paint, bead, doodle—or just show up with your hands and heart—this group offers space to create alongside others who understand the cancer experience.
Open to: Patients of the MGB Cancer Center

WHEN:
We will be meeting every two weeks for a 4 month series. Attendance can be either IN-PERSON (alternating between NWH and MGH Main) or via Zoom.

September 9th 6pm-7:30pm @ NWH

September 23rd 12pm-1:30pm @ MGH Main

October 7th 6pm-7:30pm @ NWH

October 23rd (Thursday) 12pm-1:30pm @ MGH Main

November 4th 6pm-7:30pm @ NWH

November 18th 12pm-1:30pm @ MGH Main

December 2nd 6pm-7:30pm @ NWH

December 16th 12pm-1:30pm @ MGH Main

This is a relaxed, supportive space for cancer patients and survivors to connect while crafting. Come as you are, bring your own project, and stay as long as you’d like.
Are you interest in coming to the in-person options or just virtual?

Yes - I will try to attend in-person sessions at MGH main campus.Yes - I will try to attend in-person sessions at Newton-Wellsley Hospital.Not able to attend any in-person options. Will do Virtual only.Unsure! Depends on the week.
What kinds of crafts or creative activities do you enjoy?
You don’t need to be “artistic” to join. If you’re curious but not sure where to start, either click YES below for a 1:1 creativity consult OR explore some of these simple, beginner friendly craft ideas before the group. Note: These are just SOME examples! Varying degrees of ease/challenge. Also, feel free to visit your local craft store or search other websites for inspiration!!
