    This contest is not affiliated with Major League Soccer, any other organization, or any promotion. I receive nothing from submissions or this contest other than entertainment.

  • Contest Rules

    This is a prediction contest for the 2026 Major League Soccer season.

    • Anyone may enter the contest. 
    • Multiple prediction entries may be submitted, but only your final prediction will be considered eligible for the prize.
    • The contest will open for prediction submissions on Saturday, February 7, and will close to submissions at 2:30pm ET on Saturday, February 21.

     Explanation and Prize

    Predictions will be scored on accuracy (explained below) and ranked to determine a winner.

    By submitting this form, you consent to your prediction and the name/username given being shared with myself (Connor) and being publically shared online.

    The prize for the best prediction after all modifiers will be a $20 gift card to the MLS store (https://www.mlsstore.com/) delivered electronically to the provided e-mail address.

    The only prediction you need to make to receive a score is the Supporter's Shield Standings, however you may optionally also predict which clubs will win:

    • Eastern Conference Final
    • Western Conference Final
    • MLS Cup
    • CONCACAF Champions Cup
    • Leagues Cup
    • US Open Cup

    As well which individuals will win:

    • the Golden Boot
    • Most Valuable Player
    • Coach of the Year
    • Goalkeeper of the Year
    • Defender of the Year
    • Young Player of the Year
    • Newcomer of the Year

    and just for fun, you may predict the first MLS head coach to be fired in the course of the season!

  • Your email address and any other identifiable information, with the exception of the display name attached to your prediction, will not be saved beyond the conclusion of the prediction contest, shared in any form, or be used for any purpose other than fulfilling your request and/or delivering the prize.

  • Scoring

    The game will be scored by golf rules, lowest score wins:

    At the end of the 2026 MLS playoffs and after all individual accolades are awarded, your score will be calculated as the absolute difference between your predicted Supporters Shield finish for each club and their actual finish, summed for all clubs.

    E.g., if you correctly predict a club’s finish, 0 points are added to your score.
    If you predict a club finishes 5th but it actually finishes 12th, the contribution to your score is |5‑12| = +7 points.

    A perfect table prediction would have a score of 0 points and the worst possible prediction would have a score of 450. An average prediction would have a score of 225.

    Each correct optional prediction you make will subtract somewhere between 5 and 10 points from your score, giving a best possible score of -200 for perfect predictions across the board.

    If anyone scored sub-100 I might just hop on a plane and shake your hand.

  • Roster data comes from Fbref + Transfermarkt, and should be up-to-date as of 02-08-26. If you notice an error, please let me know and I will correct it as soon as possible. Predictions may be changed/updated until the season kickoff, so you will not be prevented from picking a missing player if you would like.
