  • Edgewood Sign Design, Site Furnishings and Plant Palette Preference Survey

The Town of Edgewood and Edgewood MainStreet are conducting a wayfinding design and planning process to develop a system of signs and other features to improve how people get around in town. The process includes recommendations for site furnishings and plantings. We invite you to share your thoughts on which sign design, site furnishing styles, and plant palettes you think best reflect the character of Edgewood. We appreciate you taking the time to complete this 9-question survey. It should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. All data collected is anonymous.

  • Q9: Plant Palette

We have developed a preliminary plant palette that we have grouped into three plant communities: 1) Streetscape Plants, 2) Transitional Zone Plants, and 3) Naturalized Zone Plants. The plant palette prioritizes native or naturalized plants when possible. Please review the plant communities below and then answer the two questions that follow the images.
  • Streetscape Plants

Plants that are more formal or ornamental in style and thus more suitable to streetscapes and areas near buildings.
  • Image-105
  • Transitional Zone Plants

Plants that straddle the transitional zone between streetscape and more natural areas.
  • Image-106
  • Naturalized Zone Plants

Plants that do well in more open areas and help give a rural, country aesthetic.
