Note: If you register for a training date after the registration has closed, you may not be approved and able to attend. All trainings will be held via zoom. Attendees must attend both days of training. Please note that a minimum number of participants will be required for each session to be held.

Description: This series introduces the participant to Practice-Based Coaching (PBC). PBC is an evidence-based coaching approach that supports the implementation of effective practices. Participants will gain knowledge of the key components of PBC as well as coaching strategies and tools to be used when coaching early childhood professionals. This training is intended for those in roles that support adult caregivers/teachers of young children.
Prerequisites:
This training is intended for individuals who will be providing practice-based coaching to support Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) or Program-wide Early Childhood - Positive Behavioral Supports and Interventions (EC-PBIS). Attendees must be working for a childcare or school-based program that is currently engaging in one or both of these initiatives.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and describe the key components of PBC
- Name, define, and identify essential and enhancement coaching strategies
- Implement PBC coaching to support effective practice
- Identify & evaluate tools and resources to support PBC
